Hello crafty friends,
I finished the next class on my AECP journey, Celebration stencil techniques. The class is given by Laurel Beard. Laurel is a great and enthusiastic teacher. I loved her class. And although I have used stencils for a longer time, there is always more to learn and new techniques to practice.
Stencils can add so much to a background or it can make your whole background, it depends on what you wish to accomplish. But they definitely give you a lot of fun and a neat endresult!

On this first card I gave my own spin to the stencils. I used three different stencils to make one background for my beautiful Bellflower. I choose 3 different motifs which I thought would fit together. I choose a gorgeous orange cardstock and cut it a bit smaller then my 5 by 7 white card. I divided the cardstock in three, so on every piece I could use a different stencil. I used for all three the same Shimmer relief paste for a cohesive look. When all was dry, I attached them all three together again, but left a small space open so silver glittertape peaked through. To not hide a big piece of the background, I used acetate behind the Bellflower. No hiding and it looks a bit like the Bellflower is floating. I die cut the sentiment, attached it to the card and after some sequins, this card was done. What do you think?

On this second card, a slimline card, I used two different techniques. For the print on the vase I created a stencil from a die, and it worked like a charm! I used embossingpaste for this.
Further I used a stencil for the lower half of the card, to give some more texture and to give the vase a spot to stand. I used again the embossingpaste, but brought it on color with some inkrefill.
On this card I splattered and attached a waxseal and some sequins. So a card with enough things going on. I noticed by myself that I almost never make a more simple card, but I like it this way. 😁

This card is a bit of a bonus. I made this card on a workshop, this was the exam of a friend who is Educator now.
On this card you see a background from inksprays and ink and on it you see partial stencil prints. So also this way you can use a stencil, as a part of a whole background.
Besides to what I showed today there are way more ways to work with stencils. So a lot to try and play with!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and follow a piece of my journey. I realle appreciate it. I hope to see you again in my next blog!
