This Valentine card has a softer and more feminine feel, using warm pink tones combined with muted green.The background is heat embossed and ink blended, with an embossed heart filled with floral details.Just like the previous card, I let the heart extend over the edge and reused that piece on the inside.Do you enjoy seeing different versions of the same card design? 🌸

For today’s Valentine inspiration, I’m sharing a Valentine card in cooler tones.I wanted to create something that feels a bit more masculine, using blues, greens, and soft grey shades.The background combines a wood-textured mixed media look with a large embossed heart. I placed the heart slightly over the edge of the card and used that cut-off piece again on the inside — a small detail, but one I really love.Do you also like to create Valentine cards in less traditional colors?

The last class of level 1, I started very slowly with this level because of the circumstances, but I am so glad I pushed through! This class about Inking Techniques, taught by Sara Naumann, was filled with fresh ideas and creative approaches. I truly enjoyed making the cards for this class, and I know I’ll be using these techniques more often and on more different kind of cards.

Despite the heat, or should I say thanks to the heat, I went busy making a wintery hot cocoa and cookies card. Of course included a gingerbread cookie! And a poinsettia to make it really festive.Dig in! 🫶

March 2024 I made these three cards. The first two had a different lay out than just the standard 5 by 7 cards. 

My first cards placed in my new blog! This blog starts with some cards I made earlier to give this a good start. I really hope a lot of cards will follow and of course a lot of you people who appreciate my work.
