Hello my lovely creatives! 💗
I’m so happy to be here again with you for the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge! Can you believe it’s already the 15th of the month again? Time really has a way of flying by.
Here in the Netherlands the weather is slowly starting to change. Some rainy days, some sunny days… but you can really feel and even smell that spring is in the air. The kids already had their spring break, and nature is slowly waking up again.
How is the weather where you live? Has spring arrived yet, or are you still waiting for those first warm days? I always love hearing where everyone is crafting from!
Now it’s time for a brand new challenge at the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge. If you joined us last month — thank you so much! The gallery was filled with absolutely gorgeous floral creations. It’s always such a joy to see all the creativity blooming there.
For this card I used beautiful products from Altenew and I followed the colors from the optional moodboard for inspiration. As always, anything floral goes, and the moodboard is there if you want a little extra inspiration.
For my design I created a soft glowing floral scene using the Buttercup Bunch Layering Die Set combined with the elegant Gothic Arches Die Set. The arches really feel like little garden windows to me, and apparently I like building tiny paper architecture lately. 😄
For the background I used the Squiggly Lines Stencil together with the new Foil Relief Paste. When the paste turned lighter and slightly see-through, I placed my Pewter foil over it and gave it a gentle rub. After slowly removing the foil, those beautiful foiled squiggly lines appeared — such a magical moment every time!
Behind the arches I added a soft yellow glow so the windows look like warm sunlight shining through. I also added a little texture using the Gilded Marble Press Plate, which I pressed with Honeydew Glow Fresh Dye Ink.
The flowers from the Buttercup Bunch Layering Die Set were placed around the windows to create a cheerful floral scene, and I colored the arches using inks from the Woodland Escape Fresh Dye Ink Set. For the windows I used a piece of acetate to give them a real glass effect.
To finish the card I added a few Stellar Sequins for a subtle sparkle — because a tiny bit of bling always makes me happy.

Angel, your design in warm and inviting. The foil paste seems to work perfectly. I can't wait to get mine. Beautiful card. 🤗💛
Hello Nancy, thank you so much for your sweet comment! I really appreciate it. Yes, the foiling paste worked so great. Give it enough time to "dry" and the foil sticks perfectly. I am really curious to your creations with it when you have it.
