Hello, my crafty friends!

17 juli 2024 I adhered my first post as a participant of the Altenew Educator Certification Program.

It was a very exciting step to make, and I am so glad I took it. For the first level, we have to follow 10 Altenew Academy classes. The first class I walked through is called All About Layering 3. In this class, I learned all the basics about layering stamps from Lydia Evans. It was really very interesting and with a lot of tips and tricks and some variations you can make.

For my card, I used the Build a flower semi-double Chrysantheum, a four layered stamp set for the flowers, the leafs have three layers. I didn't wanted my stamps to have black lines, I wanted them in color, so it was less harsh. I used an Altenew paperpad from which I made thin sliced paperparts. I placed these at a diagonal. I used Altenew gold mirror cardstock to break between the different colors pink. On the upper half of the card, I splattered with two colors of Ranger distress mica stain, and to bring back the gold, I also splattered with foundry wax, which I dried with my heat tool. I made three flowers for a nice composition and five leaves. I took the sentiment of the timeless sentiments 2. I die cutted the sentiment out of the same gold mirror cardstock and layered it on three white ones, to give it more dimension. The shadow layer I took out of vellum and under that I layered another white sentiment, so that created a bit of air between the flowers and vellum. And last but not least, a few gold sequins.

I am happy with this card, I hope this card makes you happy as well! ❤️
