On October 10th. 2024, I handed over my second class, with the following text and photos;
Hello, my crafty friends!
Today I have two cards for you, my assignment for the second course, all about Layering 4, also from Lydia Evans. She really knows her stuff and is a great teacher! In this class, we learned more and went deeper into the layering of stamps. How to incorporate this beautiful product, the layering stamp, on cards, and how to make it more interesting.
For both cards, I used the same stampset and almost the same colors. But the two cards are very different. That 's why I wanted to make two cards instead of one. This way, you can see that you get two different results, although the flowerset you start with is the same.
On the blue card, I gave it this color by inking, I used an embossing folder and cut out the inner circle. I gave the embossed part a golden touch. Between the flowers, I put some green twigs to give it something extra. I matted the blue part on gold cardstock, and in the circle, I demped the gold with vellum. A golden sentiment and some dots to finish the card.
The second card I ink smooshed a white piece of cardstock with green inks. And I used blue mirror cardstock to mat the green piece on. Further, I made a small border of the blue mirror cardstock for extra interest. The stamped flowers are three flowers on one piece. By both, I cut off one flower, so it made me more free how to make my design. I added a big sentiment from blue mirror cardstock. Some pastel sequins at the end to finish the card.
These are my two cards, and I am very happy with them, one with more neutral colors and one with a more special color combination and, in that way, very different.
Thank you all for watching!
