Two flowercards including a little bit zentangle, Altenew

Hello, my sweet crafty friends

Today I’m sharing two cards I made during the AECP exam workshop by Berit Kyllo-Steinmoen, using beautiful products from Altenew.

Working on exam projects always feels a little different. There is focus. There is intention. And for me, there is also gratitude. Gratitude that I can grow, learn and express myself through cardmaking — especially in a season where creating is my safe place.

For this exam, I really tried to stay closer to the taught examples than I normally do. It’s all about the assignment and showing that you understand the techniques. And Berit truly did an amazing job explaining everything so clearly and inspiring us along the way.

The first card was about layering to create a fuller look in the flowers — this became my pink card. Building up the layers step by step gives such beautiful depth.

The second card focused on Zentangle. I watched Berit draw so many delicate lines in the petals and leaves. It looked absolutely stunning. I must admit, I was a little intimidated and cautious so I added less than Berit did… but I truly tried. 😀

For this card I used the following products:

Creating with attention to detail reminds me why I started. It helps me breathe. It helps me process. And it makes me happy.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for encouraging me on this journey!
