Bird flying high in the Arched Foliage, Altenew

Hello, my dear crafty friends!

The coming time will be challenging for me and my family. I prefer to keep the details private, but I wanted to share that creating is bringing me comfort and steadiness. Your support truly feels like a warm blanket, and I am very grateful for this. If I am a little quieter than usual, please know how much I appreciate you being here and understanding.

Today I am sharing a card I made with the beautiful and versatile Craft Your Life Project Kit: Arched Foliage & Add-On Embossing Folder Bundle. I absolutely love this set, especially now with the recently released embossing folder. My cards are almost always 5 x 7 inch, and this is the first embossing folder from Altenew in this size — I was so happy when I saw that!

I combined it with the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Whispers in the Canopy & Add-On Die Bundle for the sweet birdhouse and the flying bird. The flowers are from the Creative Cuts: Houseplants Layering Die Set. Together they create such a peaceful little scene.

I colored everything with Fresh Dye Inks. I used Aqua Island, Sweet Dreams and Blushberry Bliss for the florals, and different brown tones from Delectable Delights and Earth Tones for the birdhouse. Give me Altenew inks and I am as happy as a little girl.

Of course, some splattering and a little bling could not be missed. I added splatters with the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set, a soft shimmer with Iridescent Shimmer Ink Spray, and finished it off with a few Iridescent Crystals Gem Sparkles.
