Hello, sweet crafty friends,
Sometimes pain gives you two options:
lie down… or layer cardstock.
Guess which one I chose. 😌
After my drive on Saturday I was in quite a lot of pain, so I did what works best for me — I went to my craft table. And honestly? It helps. The folding, layering, blending… it quiets everything for a while.
This card became a bold little escape.
I created this 5x7 inch Z-fold card using Build a Garden: Scripted in Bloom and added the sentiment from Build a Garden: Blooming Delight. The florals are soft but confident — stamped and finished with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder. I Ink-blended those gorgeous flowers with Earthy Embrace Fresh Dye Ink, with touches of Honeydew Glow in the centers and Coastal Mist for those fresh leaves.
The background is where the drama begins.
I used the Masonry Wall 3D Embossing Folder and blended Delectable Delight and Earthy Embrace over it to create that warm, rich stone wall. The Gothic Arches Die Set windows were inked with black ink and the darkest color of the Earthy Embrace. The window screens I blended with Antique Gold Pigment Ink for that old-world glow.
The sentiment is cut from Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock because subtle was simply not invited to this party.
A few Stellar Sequins (Champagne and a wax seal finished it off — because if you’re going bold, you might as well go all the way.
Crafting doesn’t fix pain.
But it gives it less space.
