Elegant Forget Me Not Floral Card | Soft Ink Blending with Altenew

Hello my lovely crafty friends! 

I’m so happy to be here again for a new Beautiful Blossoms Challenge! I can hardly believe it’s already the 15th of the month again… time truly flies by.

We had such beautiful spring weather here in the Netherlands over the past weeks — lots of sunshine and lovely temperatures — but now the colder weather and rain have returned. I must admit, the farmers here are probably very happy with that.

Before I tell you a bit more about my card, I first want to send out a huge thank you to everyone who joined our previous challenge. There were so many gorgeous floral creations in the gallery and they truly inspired us all. I really hope to see many of you joining again this month, because your creations honestly make our day.

For today’s card I used all products from Altenew and took a little inspiration from the optional moodboard. I never follow it exactly, but I do love using it as a starting point for colors or mood.

The beautiful Forget Me Not flowers became the true stars of this card. I paired them with soft ink blending and subtle texture in the background using Foil Relief Paste through a stencil. I always love adding a little shimmer and texture, but for this card I really wanted to keep everything calm and elegant so the flowers could do all the talking.

To create a cohesive look, I brought the silver details back in the metallic thread, sequins and layered borders. The Brushed Silver Metallic Cardstock looked beautiful in real life… although I must admit it was quite the challenge to photograph this time. 😂
