Hello everyone!
For the guys, an interesting class given by the great Jennifer Rzasa! Masculine cards, many of us have a bit of a struggle with these cards, that is why this class was a must. I think we often think too much about these cards. Make it more difficult than it really is.
Some things in this class I already knew, like geometric patterns or a space scene from ink or paint. But of course I also learned a lot of new things and that is the beauty of this journey. There are so many new things and tips and tricks to learn, I enjoy it so much!

This is the first card I made for this class. I used layering stencils, two stencils I did with ink and for the last, I used Shimmer relief paste, pearl. This to give some texture. I used very light blue cardstock, and before stencilling, I masked of a part of the paper. I feel that it gives more interest this way, especially because I wanted a big sentiment at the edge of the card. Big, black and white and bold, it contains more layers, because I really like dimension!
I made a darkblue frame around the light blue paper and placed it on a white 5 by 7 card.
This finished of the first card.
Of course there are many more themes for a typical masculine card. Like cards inspired by games or hobby's, Popart style/ Andy Warbol, so 4 squares in different colors. Further you can make an interactive card, for example with a wobbling element or selfmade with a wire. And many more.
My second card is an interactive card. This I never thought about, but of course loved the idea! So simple but it never crossed my mind. I made also a different measurement card, a slimline card.
I started with a piece of white cardstock. With a stencil I covered the whole background with clouds. I made two hot air balloons. The basket and the bottom of the balloon from white paper which I inkblended and the balloons itself I made from glitter paper. Because also men loves glitter!
The lower air balloon I attached with a wobbling element. Really very fun to do! Last I made the sentiment, happy birthday. I used the same glitterpaper as I used for the balloons. For the shadow layer I used vellum. Above the vellum I had two layers and I made an extra layer for under the vellum. So it looks like the vellum is floating. I placed a frame in the same colorfamily and attached it all on a white slimline card. So much for my second card.

I really liked this class and making these both cards. Making masculine cards will be much easier from now on! Thanks my crafty friends, for visiting my blog and for following my AECP journey. I really appreciate it. Untill the next class! 🫶
