Layered Floral Card with Soft Ink Blending | Altenew Grand Dahlia | Beautiful Blossoms Challenge

Hello my lovely creatives!

I’m so happy to be here with you again for a new Beautiful Blossoms Challenge! I can hardly believe it’s already the 15th of the month again — time really does fly.

Here in the Netherlands we are enjoying beautiful spring weather at the moment. And where I live, the tulip fields are starting to bloom… it truly is a gorgeous sight. Fields full of color, as far as you can see. In the coming weeks many people and tourists will visit this area to enjoy all that beauty.

And fun fact — after the blooming season, the flowers are actually cut off. This helps all the energy go back into the bulbs, so they can grow strong. Nature is quite amazing like that. 

It inspired me to use some of my favorite colors for the flowers on today’s card. Soft, but still vibrant enough to stand out.

For this card I used all products from Altenew and took a little inspiration from the optional moodboard. I never follow it exactly, but I love using it as a starting point.

The layered florals are the star of this card, combined with soft ink blending and texture in the background to add depth and interest. I always enjoy building up layers like this — it gives the card that little bit of extra elegance.
