Stencil Art with soft inkblending | Altenew Swan Serenade

Today I’m sharing a card that immediately gave me a soft spring feeling while creating it — light, romantic, and with a little dreamy touch because of the graceful swan and delicate florals.

For this card I worked once again entirely with Altenew products and combined stencil work with layered die cuts to build a soft scene full of detail.

The focal point started with the Stencil Art Swan Serenade. I kept the swan light and airy by blending soft shades of Misty Morning behind it and using Dew Drops and Pool for the gentle details of the swan itself. For the beak I chose Apricot Frost and Terracotta to add just a warm little accent.

The flowers around the swan were blended with shades from the Blushberry Bliss family, Coral Red and Melted Butterscotch. These tones immediately brought warmth and softness to the scene.

To frame everything, I chose a strong pink embossed background, which gives contrast and makes the lighter focal panel stand out beautifully.

For the decorative details I added the Ornamental Lantern Layering Die Set, combined with a candle from the Decorative Lantern Layering Die Set. Around the lantern I arranged tiny greenery from the Mini Delight Gardener’s Corner Layering Die Set and small flowers from the Cherry Blossom Branch Layering Die Set.

For the greens I used Pistachio, Firefly, Fresh Leaf and Reindeer Moss, which helped keep the lower part fresh and lively.

To finish the card, I added a few Crystal Clear Gem Sparkles and a little touch of Shimmer Relief Paste in Enchanted Gold for subtle shimmer on the Lantern.

Final Thoughts

What I especially enjoy in this card is the contrast between the soft swan panel and the richer pink frame around it — delicate and vibrant at the same time.
